Reviews - Dropbox for iPad Updated, Includes New App Directory

The Dropbox app has been updated. For iPhone users, there is a UI redesign that takes full advantage of the Retina Display. The iPad version has added full screen landscape document viewing and the support for multitasking to allow files to upload or download in the background.

The new version was designed with the new iOS in mind. It brings automatic offline caching for recently accessed files, several user interface enhancements including a new home screen and progress display, support for HD video and high-resolution photo capture.

In addition to the iPad and iPhone app updates, Dropbox has released a service called App Directory. This online database will keep a list of Dropbox compatible iPad and iPhone apps. You can visit the App Directory anytime you want to browse and review any Dropbox compatible apps. The App Directory is a central place for you to find out new apps that will work in conjunction with Dropbox capabilities. The Dropbox update is available for FREE via Apple’s App Store.
