There’s no doubt kids learn best while having fun and award winning children’s app developer Duck Duck Moose just announced the upcoming release of its fun iPad math app. Designed to introduce early math concepts to young children (preschool – first grade), this new app will teach little ones counting, addition, subtraction, sorting and more while they play with Blue Bear and his friends in the park.
Park Math HD incorporates learning through play with different skill levels, educational activities and classic children’s music like The Muffin Man and Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush.
Three learning levels provide counting, addition and subtraction instruction with each level focusing on a different range of numbers. Based on their own skill level, kids may select the level of difficulty that fits their needs.
- Level 1 – counting up to 20 and addition/subtraction with numbers up to 5
- Level 2 – counting up to 50 and addition/subtraction with numbers to 10
- Level 3 – counting up to 100 and addition/subtraction with numbers to 20
Fun educational activities will teach a variety of math concepts like sorting, counting and patterns. As kids play on different pieces of playground equipment, they’ll have fun and learn while doing it.
- Swing: Numbers – Count up to 50 as a rabbit swings
- Slide: Addition – Help ducks climb to the top of a slide and learn how to add
- Seesaw: Greater Than / Less Than – Balance a seesaw by adding and subtracting mice
- Apple Tree: Subtraction – Learn how to subtract as apples fall from a tree
- Sandbox: Patterns – Complete the pattern in a sandbox with the correct toy
- Bench: Sorting – Order the dogs from small to large. Order numbers in sequence
- Picnic: Counting – Feed a hippo the correct number of food items
The developers at Duck Duck Moose never disappoint and their latest app is sure to be another hit. The iPhone version is already available in the App Store for $1.99 and the iPad version is coming soon. We’ll keep you posted on its release and get a review up as soon as possible too.
